HISTORY
Tip To Toe Day Spa started in 1994.  It was the first Day Spa in Pittsburgh, although people didn't know what a Day Spa was.  Think back - -who had massage, facials, nails, pedicures, waxing, salt rubs, seaweed, or mud wraps with a shower in your own neighborhood, and without staying overnight?  The Spa was located on a quiet street in Point Breeze.  Tip To Toe Day Spa became known for its extensive list of services - and still be home for dinner - or to pick up the children.
After three years at Point Breeze, the owners wanted to sell the building which also housed apartments.  So Tip To Toe Day Spa moved to its present location on a second floor in Squirrel Hill.  It is close to the 376 parkway entrance, bus lines, and public parking from the back entrance.
The Spa's atmosphere is homey and comfortable, like going into a friend's living room.  The front parlor contains the booking desk, seating and manicure table.  There is tea, bottled water, choice of cookies, pretzels, hard candies, and shelves of books and magazines to read if you arrive early.  The books are also for trading, if you find one that interests you, take it home.  There are Bakers racks with gift ideas, and personal items you may want for yourself to round out a treatment.
With a ratio of one-to-one, you are the main attraction.  You can dress to be comfortable.  Weather you are fitting in a pedicure or an LED Light Facial before dashing off to dinner - this spa provides a quiet get-a-way.
The back room is ready and waiting with soft lighting, calm music, and an extensive variety of treatments for the body and soul.
